master Vikramaditya Kamble won the late Prof. WD Alurkar memorial rapid
chess tournament 2010
International master Vikramaditya
Kamble Bagged the championship of the tournament “late Prof. WD Alurkar
memorial rapid chess tournament 2010” organised by Buddhibal Kreeda
Trust at Manohar Mangal Karyalaya, Pune.
The chief guest for the prize distribution function were Smt. Sumati
Shirgaonkar, sponsorer of the event, Mr. A. Y. Alurkar, Mr. and Mrs.
Avinash Alurkar. Shri R. M Akolkar, Chatrpatti awardees Moreshwar
Bhagwat and Mr. Prakash Kunte, Managing Trustee, BKT also were present
on the dias.

The trustee Mr. Prakash Kunte explained
the theme behind this tournament. The chief guests were felicitaed by
Mr. R. M.Akolkar. The tournament report was presented by Chief Arbiter
Nitin Shenvi. The vote of thanks was made by WIM Mrunalini
Kunte-Aurangabadkar.
Total 136 players have participated in this rapid event, out of this 38
are rated players including IM Vikramaditya Kamble, Mumbai. The rating
average of this tournament was 1856.
