wins under 12 tournament
Every year Kunte chess academy gives scholarship to young, talented
upcoming chess players of our academy This year on 26th January 2012
such a tournament was conducted to select the best player in U-12
category. Total of 25 players participated in the tournament. Tournament
was conducted in swiss format in 6 rounds at the Mayur Colony Branch.
3rd prize was awarded to keyur sole (Pts 5/6) while there was a tie for
1st place, on better tie break (buchholz) Rajat Mahajan(Pts 5.5/6) was
placed 1st while Pruthu Deshpande (Pts 5.5/6) 2nd. The best girl award
was grabbed by Aishwarya Puranik and U-7 award by Aushutosh Gandhe.
Pruthu Deshpande was the best player in U-12 category and has been
awarded the scholarship of Rs.5000/- for the year.
